Rosso di Montepulciano achieved the DOC classification in 1989. It can be produced by simply downgrading grapes that are classified as Vino Nobile.In our Winery however, we decided not to compromise.We selected a number of vineyards with particular characteristics in order to obtain a wine that is young, fruity, full-bodied but not hard; a selection that has allowed us to classify our Rosso di Montepulciano as the Second Wine of the Poliziano Winery. Poliziano was started in 1961 with an initial nucleus of 22 hectares. It has grown over the years to reach its present size of 120 hectares, all planted in vineyards.
